Sarjun Gharib is a Digital Business Consultant and the Founder of Knowledge Based Consulting Incorporated (KBC), a Canada-based digital business consulting firm headquartered in Ottawa, Ontario. He leads complex digital engagements where decisions carry consequence and execution discipline directly impacts organizational performance.
Sarjun works across Canadian small and medium-sized enterprises and federal public-sector institutions, specializing in digital business consulting, digital transformation, and delivery governance. His work centers on translating strategic intent into accountable systems by aligning people, process, and technology to reduce operational risk and improve decision precision.
In parallel with his consulting practice, Sarjun serves as a Senior Project Consultant with Employment and Social Development Canada (ESDC), contributing to technical debt remediation and enterprise business modernization initiatives within the Government of Canada. His public-sector experience spans program, portfolio, and organizational delivery, including PMO establishment, delivery governance design, hybrid and agile execution models, and executive-level reporting in high-accountability environments.
Through Knowledge Based Consulting, Sarjun has conducted digital maturity assessments and led transformation engagements for more than 50 Canadian SMEs through the Canada Digital Adoption Program (CDAP), identifying execution gaps and architecting value-driven solutions that convert digital investment into operational performance, resilience, and growth.
Sarjun brings over a decade of experience operating in high-scrutiny environments across public and private sectors. His background includes work with Employment and Social Development Canada, Shared Services Canada, Elections Canada, Public Safety Canada, Statistics Canada, and private-sector organizations in finance, energy, and professional services. Across these engagements, he has been accountable for strengthening delivery discipline, protecting baseline operations, and enabling modernization without introducing unmanaged risk.
Sarjun holds a Bachelor of Arts in Economics with coursework in Computer Science from Carleton University. His expertise spans digital strategy, business analysis, digital product development and management, and design thinking, applied through a systems-level lens shaped by governance requirements, operational risk, and long-term maintainability.
In addition to client delivery, Sarjun contributes to Canada’s professional and academic ecosystem. He has served as a closing panelist with the Project Management Institute (PMI) and as a judge at the University of Ottawa’s Telfer School of Management, evaluating entrepreneurship, innovation, and digital transformation initiatives across public and private sectors.
